Dun & Bradstreet is committed to data security. We have established a cross-functional team made up of senior leaders from our Privacy Team to investigate the type of personal information that we collect and audit how this data is shared with our customers and partners. In addition to adhering to the enactment of global regulations (such as GDPR), the objective was to ensure that our customers maintain confidence in Dun & Bradstreet as a market leading data provider.
Resulting from this thorough investigative review program Dun & Bradstreet identified a suitable technology to safeguard the transfer of information. As a trusted Dun & Bradstreet customer, we wanted to notify you of this new method since this will impact how data is transferred by us and accepted by your organization.
All data files containing over 1M (one million) records or files containing any high risk or sensitive information will be transferred using PGP encryption to provide cryptographic privacy and authentication for data communications. The use of PGP encryption simply secures the file Dun & Bradstreet has produced by encrypting it and that you, the customer, decrypt the file using your private key. Encryption of files will not delay delivery of the file to you and increases overall security during and after the transfer of files.
