Conflict Checks

Check for conflicts of interest with D&B’s Corporate Linkage

Developed by D&B in 1962, D-U-N-S stands for "Data Universal Numbering System” and identifies businesses via a unique nine-digit numbering system.

D&B links the D-U-N-S Numbers of parents, subsidiaries, headquarters and branches on more than 141 million corporate family members around the world.

Recognised, recommended and required by global industry and trade associations,
D-U-N-S Numbers are used by the United Nations, the U.S. Federal Government, the Australian Government and the European Commission to identify businesses of all sizes.

In order to effectively check for conflicts of interest, firms must be aware of the ownership and subsidiary structure of the business they are dealing with. No other organisation can match D&B for the breadth of its data and completeness when it comes to identifying links between businesses.

This data can be linked to your own business records and stored within internal systems for future checking.
