Scannappeal raises funds to purchase life-saving equipment for Amersham, Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe Hospitals which serve people living in Buckinghamshire and parts of Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire. Over 350,000 patients have already benefited from Scannappeal's work.

Our aim:

D&B employees have selected Scannappeal as their Charity of choice. Through a combination of fundraising activities, volunteer days and donations, D&B aims to make a big difference to this worthwhile cause.

D&B Charity Update

The Thomas Ball charity holiday home in Hampshire.

During 2008 and 2009 D&B UK&Ireland supported the Thomas Ball Children’s Cancer Charity.

In April 2010 the charity opened their new holiday home, a three-bedroom lodge on the coast in New Milton, Hampshire.

The significant amount of money raised by D&B over the two years (including employee contributions and equal matching from the company) was put towards the lease for the holiday home, which will help child cancer sufferers. It is hoped that hundreds of sick children and teenagers will benefit from breaks away with their families while undergoing treatment for cancer.

At the time of opening this new holiday home, Elaine Ball, Chair of the TBCCC Fund thanked all the organisations and individuals who donated.

She said: "Everyone has been so kind and worked very hard to achieve this goal. It was great having D&B onboard - the employees really rose to the challenge and were very much hands-on with the fundraising; they baked cakes, recycled mobile phones, washed cars and took part in collecting days and sponsored events."

Being able to contribute to worthy charitable causes underlines D&B’s commitment to make a difference in the community through engaging employees and teams across the business.
